“Coming into Berkeley, I remember feeling overwhelmed as I walked through Sproul, awkwardly taking flyers from members of business organizations who were spewing terms like ‘investment banking’ or ‘management consulting’ that seemed so commonplace to them yet unfamiliar to me. It was intimidating, to say the least, to interact with such polished and successful strangers. All my doubts and nerves, however, melted away when I came across the Collegiate Business Association – the members of CBA instantly made me feel so welcomed in their family of passionate, intelligent, and kind individuals. As I interacted with them, it became abundantly clear that these were people who not only worked hard towards their own goals, but also did everything they could to help each other find success.

The past two years I've spent at CBA have been nothing short of rewarding. Through our 8-week Professional Development Program, I gained exposure to the many paths a career in business had to offer and developed skillsets that I found applicable to every aspect of my life. At the same time, the mentorship I found at CBA was like no other – every single member went out of their way to find opportunities and resources to help me grow professionally and recruit successfully. To have a community of people rooting for you as you navigate a school as large as Berkeley and face the daunting uncertainties of post-grad life is something so reassuring, and I am so grateful to have found such genuine support through CBA.

But beyond that, and more importantly, the members of CBA have become my best friends here at Berkeley – from spontaneous nights out to traveling the world together, all the best experiences and memories that I've created in college have been with CBA. These are people I spend every day of the school year with, people I go to for anything and everything, and people who want what's truly best for me. As an international student, CBA has quickly become my home away from home, and I can say with full certainty that I am only the person I am today because of CBA.

If anything I said above resonated with you, you've come to the right place. I cannot wait for you to meet this amazing group of people I so proudly call my second family, and I am so excited to invite you to our Fall 2024 recruitment. Thank you for reading, and on behalf of CBA, I look forward to welcoming you into our family.”
